Day before workshop begins, field work
Preliminary meeting of Y-GSA and Chiba University students and Y-GSA teachers at apartment serving as accommodations.
After meeting, field work in Barcelona

First day of workshop (introduction, research)
Initial meeting with UPC students. After an explanation by Professor Falcon on the general outline of the workshop, the students immediately split up into groups and began research!

At Intelligent Coast studio which served as the center of the workshop.

2nd day of workshop (research)

Each group undertakes survey of the site according to its theme.

Group work, intermediate presentation

Each group works in preparation for the intermediate presentation at night.

Research results were presented and critiqued by guests.

Brainstorming

Brainstorming based on research with everyone participating to determine future policy.

Students split up into editing group and project team and begin work. Discussions continued late into the night.

Weather was good this day and lunch was on the roof.

Last spurt for the final review the next day! All groups worked all night.

Professors Kitayama and Iiida arrived from Japan and checked the work in progress.

2008.9.26 Fri
Final review, final party

The five groups presented their projects.

Many guests from Barcelona also participated in the review.

After the review, Intelligent Coast organized a party on the roof. After an intensive day, the workshop came to an end with people still wound up.
