As a student, I designed and constructed by myself a temporary gallery open for half a year on the campus. When I was pondering a design problem then, I thought virtually anything could be created. However, actually giving something form proved difficult. Digging in the ground and tightening screws in the rain, I wondered what made it so difficult, but when the gallery began to take shape, such doubts evaporated. That was the moment a deep desire to create architecture awakened in me. It was also the moment I recognized that an architect needs to, not just create, but initiate some sort of action.
