
I would like them to think for themselves and learn by doing things themselves. I would like them to be able to identify the intended recipients of their message. Sooner or later, people have to ask themselves that question out in the real world. It is too late if they leave the question unconsidered until then. A graduate school is a place that people choose to go to in order to engage more actively in architecture. Therefore, students should not approach a design problem as something imaginary; it is important to consider it as something they themselves must grapple with. Being in school does not guarantee success in architecture. I believe if students are actively engaged in society and regard issues as things that directly affect them, they will find their way even after they graduate.
