The Aim of Workshop B (Practice)
This is a program coordinated with Workshop A and centered on design exercises. Carried out mainly in collaboration with overseas architectural schools, it teaches students new ways to address and understand the city and architecture through experience of architectural education of an international standard and contact with the ideas and approaches to the city of architects from overseas. Projects suggesting a new urban vision will be undertaken, with problems confronting cities today as their theme.
The aim is to propose specific, architecturally oriented projects for solving actual urban problems based on the theory constructed in Workshop A through a program of approximately two weeks consisting of field work, esquisse, public lectures and symposia, and reviews.
