“The Shape of Architecture to Come”
西沢スタジオのテーマは、「新しい時代の建築をめざして」です。提案する内容、規模、敷地、原則としてすべて自由ですが、いくつかの課題テーマ、キーワードを挙げます。
１新しい時代の建築：
私たちの時代にふさわしい建築、新しい時代の価値観を示す建築は、どんな姿をしているでしょうか。建築がその時代の人間の思い、価値観から出てくるということは、ありうるでしょうか。
２人間にふさわしい場所を考える。私たちの住環境を考える：
人間にふさわしい場所、環境とはどんなものなのか、考えてみてください。場所作り、環境作りを考える時に、建築物単体だけの提案は原則としてダメです。建築、庭、道路、広場、界隈、ランドスケープなど全体を考えて、建築と環境が連携し調和した世界を思い描いてください。
３歴史：
地域文化やその地域の人々の暮らし、地域の歴史をよく考えて、それとの歴史的時間的連続性を持ったプロジェクトを提案してください。
The theme of the Nishizawa Studio is “The Shape of Architecture to Come”. Your proposal is basically free from any restrictions about program, size, location and site area, but I suggest several theme and keyword for this studio.
1. The Shape of Architecture to Come:
What are the values of the new age and the new architecture? Can those values be given form?
2. Thinking an Environment for the people / Thinking our Living Environment:
Think about what and how the place and environment for the people should be. When you create new place and environment, you should think about not only building but also whole situation – architecture, garden, street, plaza, neighborhood, landscape and etc.Imagine the world, which have rich harmony between architecture and environment.
3. History:
Thinking about history, culture and everyday life of the city and target area, then consider relation between your project and them.
